Meet Arctic Cool, the family-owned brand that takes “staying cool” to a whole new level. Their lineup? High-tech activewear and accessories designed to keep you from breaking a sweat—literally. Using their HydroFreeze X technology (yep, they have their own secret sauce), Arctic Cool’s gear wicks moisture away, disperses it throughout the fabric, and cools you down while you’re moving. But wait, there’s more: UPF 50+ sun protection to keep those rays at bay, Vortex Vent airflow to keep things breezy, and anti-microbial fabric so you stay fresh. From golf shirts to cooling dresses, Arctic Cool isn’t just activewear; it’s the cool you can wear.
So here’s the deal: Arctic Cool needed fresh content that wasn’t just cool (see what we did there?) but trendy and scroll-stopping. With a new year coming up, they wanted visuals that showed off the science of HydroFreeze X in a way that actually connects with viewers. You know, something you’d actually stop to watch on TikTok or Instagram. How do you make cooling fabric feel fun, relatable, and still capture the high-tech side? That’s where we came in.
The mission was clear: build a content library of photo and video assets that Arctic Cool could use for everything from their website to social feeds. We split the project into two types of shoots to get the full spectrum of “cool”: studio content that highlighted the product’s tech and lifestyle scenes that showed Arctic Cool in action.
Creative Brainstorming and Game Plan:
We kicked things off with a creative sit-down with Arctic Cool. They had a vision; we had the plan. From close-up “dispersion” demos to show how the cooling kicks in, to lightweight fabric shots that captured the freedom of movement, each scene was crafted to highlight HydroFreeze X’s magic. We even planned for heat mapping visuals—hot spots transforming to cool blues in real-time—making Arctic Cool look like the hero it is.
Casting to Keep It Real:
For this project, Arctic Cool needed talent who could walk the talk (and break a sweat). We put out a call for fit, athletic folks who could bring some serious energy to the shoot. Once we had our dream team, we prepped all wardrobe looks and props, from pickleball paddles to water droppers for those close-up “cooling” shots. Everything was prepped to perfection because on shoot days, there’s no time for wrinkles (pun intended).
Props and Locations:
Our studio in Costa Mesa was the perfect spot for those tech-forward shots, but for the lifestyle scenes? We needed something with more personality. Tustin Sports Park had it all—a pickleball court, jogging paths, even a spot for “yard work” scenes (hey, cooling tech is handy for mowing the lawn, too). With locations secured and permits squared away, we were ready to roll.
Production: Making the Magic Happen
This was a two-day shoot, and every minute was packed. Day 1 was our studio day, with both video and photo teams working side by side. We focused on key shots: close-ups of the HydroFreeze X technology in action, fabric movement, and heat mapping demos that showed exactly why Arctic Cool lives up to its name. Day 2 took us to the sports park, where we got those lifestyle shots. Our cast nailed it, bringing out the natural feel that makes Arctic Cool more than just “gear”—it’s what you wear when you’re really living.
Editing That Packs a Punch:
Once we had the footage, we jumped into editing. And trust us, this wasn’t your average cut-and-dry edit. We went all out with effects like heat map transitions (think hot red zones fading to cool blue), glitch effects, and bold text overlays that grabbed attention from the first frame. The result? Videos that looked just as cool as they felt, perfect for today’s fast-paced, scroll-happy feeds.
The result? A content library that speaks Arctic Cool’s language—tech-savvy, sporty, and effortlessly engaging. With studio shots that zoom in on the high-tech fabric and lifestyle clips that show the clothes in action, Arctic Cool’s new content fits right into the TikTok world without missing a beat.
